Please watch this video – The faces of MS. You’ll see what having MS is like and why we want so hard to find a cure This video will give you an idea of the trek we’ll be taking. It looks pretty romantic but it will take a lot of training and dicipline to complete. One of the most difficult aspects of the hike is that we start at 9,500 feet above sea level and climb to a height of 18,000 feet. Lack of oxygen becomes a real factor in completing the climb to basecamp. The area of basecamp also has it’s share of hazards We start with what’s described as an ‘exciting’ flight into Lukla, a mountain airstrip with one approach – and no option for going around! The takeoff here looks exciting too! |
